The Moody Blues
at the Stadthalle in Offenbach [Germany] on Monday, 26th October, 1970, presented by MAMA Concerts, and with the
Edgar Broughton Band
and
Uriah Heep
also on the bill. The Moodies were touring in support of A Question of Balance — their sixth studio album, produced by Tony Clarke and released on 7th August, 1970 by Threshold Records. The album was an attempt by the group to strip down their well-known lush, psychedelic sound in order to be able to better perform the songs in concert. Containing the single “Question”, written by guitarist Justin Hayward, the album reached #1 in the United Kingdom and #3 in the United States.The Edgar Broughton Band had just released their second album,
Sing Brother Sing,
produced by Peter Jenner, while Uriah Heep were busy supporting their debut album,
…Very ‘Eavy …Very ‘Umble.
The poster measures 58.9 x 83.7 cm (approx. 23.2 by 33 inches) and is printed on thin, uncoated paper stock. There is a 3 cm closed rip to the bottom border as well as light overall surface handling wear.
